BHADERWAH, Aug 26: Army organized Horse Race, Mela and Medical Camp for Gujjars and Bakkarwals at Padri Gali, here today. A total of 165 horse riders participated in the race conducted over two days, which was witnessed by more than 1500 locals who had gathered from Bhaderwah Administration.
The Horse Race was followed by Gujjar-Bakarwal mela and medical camp.
350 women and children were provided free medicines and medical care during the medical camp. The event was followed by distribution of 400 Solar Lamps to the families of Gujjars and Bakkarwals under the project ‘Roshni’. Gujjars and Bakarwals present at Padri Gali appreciated the efforts of the Army and expressed their heartfelt gratitude for all the support and help rendered to them.
