DODA, Aug 11: After holding a preliminary phase for Painting Competition on August 4, 2014, Rashtriya Rifles Battalion located at Doda held the final phase for 100 selected children in their respective age group at Govt Boys Higher Secondary School, here today.
The selected students were from Paramount Public School, Doda, Green Model Hr Sec School, Doda, Shaheen Public School, Doda, Govt Higher Secondary School, Ghat, Govt Boys Middle School, Ghat, Govt Girls Middle School, Ghat, Army Public School, Arnora, Green Land School, Ghat, Kasturba Gandhi Girls Hostel, Bhagwah and Govt Higher School, Bhagwah.
Commanding Officer of the Battalion awarded cash prize, certificates and medals to the students.
In the age group of 8 to 12 years, first position was secured by Nasreen Firdous of Gujjar and Bakkarwal School, Doda, while second place was claimed by Faiza Tabassum of Green Land Public School and third spot bagged by Muskan Rani of Arnora Public School, Ghat, while in the age group of 13 to 16 years, Momin Nisar of Govt Boys Higher Secondary School, Doda won first place, Rohit Thakur of Green Model Public School clinched second spot and the third place was claimed by Ashif Ali Sheikh of Shaheen Public School.
Atayyur Rehman, Retired ADC, Doda, Izaz Mughal, CEO, Doda and Tanveer, Principal Govt Boys Higher Secondary School, Doda were present on the occasion.
