REASI, Sept 29: Taking the mantle of ‘Adventure Sports’ ahead, the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Talwara is conducting Rappelling and Slithering events for 23 youth from various villages of the district.
The week long camp will not only introduce the youth to the challenging world of adventure sports but also train them in the art of rappelling and slithering.
Such events not only instill a sense of confidence but also promote communal harmony and team spirit among the participants, PRO Defence Udhampur Colonel NN Joshi said.
Sadiq Ahmed from Village Dhar-mari said that the camp is full of fun and frolic apart from helping in overcoming the challenges of Adventure Sports.
The camp, he said, is a unique event which has taught him the strength of human mind and the spirit of self-confidence.
