Army constructs Bus Stands in Uri

SRINAGAR, Feb 7: In order to redress the plight of the commuters, Army constructed two self help Bus Stands in Nawa and Runda villages in Uri area of Baramulla district.
An Army spokesman said that due to the inclement weather conditions, the residents of border area villages of Nawa and Runda in Uri were facing lot of difficulties and the local community leaders of these villages requested the Army for the construction of bus stands for the daily commuters of the area.
“The villagers residing in the area have not only expressed their gratitude for the work done but have also assured the maintenance of these sheds. This assistance by the Army was well appreciated by the locals and the villagers were very grateful for this support,” he said.
