Rajouri, Apr 24 : The Army battalion under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Uniform) has constructed a shed and dedicated it to the local populace of Kalakote, today.
The Govt officials of Kalakote Teshil and a number of prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
The Shamshaan Ghat is located adjacent to the Army Camp in Kalakote, which is used by large number of the local for cremation of the dead. The Shamshaan ghat did not have a shed with overhead protection because of which, the population used to face a lot of inconvenience during rains as well as in the summer season. Prominent citizens of the area had approached the Army authorities for provision of a shed for convenience of the people attending cremation.
It was inaugurated by Rachpal Singh, MLA, Kalakote.
