Army dedicates Chinar 9 Jawan Club to local youth

SRINAGAR, Oct 26: Chinar 9 Jawan Club was today dedicated to the local youth by GOC kilo force at Magam in Budgam district, in a function which was attended by Commander, 10 Sector RR, CO 2 RR and SDPO Magam and concern Company Commanders.
With an aim to provide them a platform to come together for healthy interactions, Ghagharpura Army Camp of Rashtriya Rifles, under the aegis of Chinar Corps, has established Chinar 9 Jawan Club at Kanyihom (Magam).
The club was formally inaugurated and dedicated to the youth by GOC, Kilo Force today. In his address, the General Officer in Command stressed about Army’s contribution in helping the masses, through medical camps, conduct of youth events, vocational, career oriented training and workshops.
While speaking on the occasion, Karar Hussain, an Engineering student from Magam village said, “The club offers a place for the youth to interact, expand their horizon and entertain themselves. Coming winter will witness more activity here”.
“A long time requirement of the locals has been fulfilled by the Army’s proactive steps”, said Ibrahim Mir, a retired DySP. Various educationists, civil dignitaries and religious teachers were present on the occasion.
