Jammu, Sept 16: The Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, located at Sarh, under the aegis of Headquarters Counter Insurgency Force (Uniform), distributed the furniture and sports items to Govt Middle School, Budhan (Kote), Govt High School, Lancha, Govt Middle School, Chohan Mohalla, Govt Middle School, Kote Katha, Govt Middle School, Mahasal and Govt Middle School, Purna Jander in Tehsil Mahore, under the ongoing Operation Sadbhavna, today.
The aim of the distribution of above items to the schools is to improve their basic infrastructure and provide conducive atmosphere for study.
The schools in the remote area of Tehsil Mahore lack basic infrastructure and amenities for the students. Army has been regularly providing his helping hand for the upliftment of the schools in the region, which was highlighted by the Mr Ashwini Kumar Khajuria, SDM and the Zonal Education Officer, Mahore. The children were ecstatic to receive brand new furniture and sports items of volleyball and cricket.
The distribution ceremony was inaugurated by the Sarpanch of Budhan village. The Commanding Officer of the Rashtriya Rifles battalion conveyed his good wishes to the local populace on the occasion.
