BHADERWAH, Aug 7: The Rashtriya Rifles located at Bhaderwah under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Delta) took an initiative and donated computers to Government Middle School, Hanga, Bhadarwah, under Operation Sadhbhavana, here.
Headmaster of Government Middle School, Hanga, Bhaderwah, Mr Jamil had requested the Army for providing computers to the School under Operation Sadhbhavana.
In order to spread the knowledge of Information Technology amongst underprivileged students of remote areas and to gain trust of local population of Hanga and nearby villages, the Army donated computers to the School under project Operation Sadhbhavana for the financial year 2014-15.
This project will be of immense help to the School authorities in imparting quality education to the students of this remote area. Around 70 students of Hanga and nearby villages will avail the benefit from this project.
The effort of Rashtriya Rifles in fulfilling the promise made with the School children was highly appreciated by one and all.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Second-in-Command, Rashtriya Rifles, Havildar Ali Mohd (Retd), Sarpanch Hanga, Numberdar Hanga, Nauri, School teachers and the students.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Jamil, Headmaster of Government Middle School, Hanga, Bhaderwah said that such kind of initiatives by the Army are always welcome as they help people of such far flung areas to relate themselves with main stream activities.
