DODA, Aug 11: An educational cum motivational tour of girl students from remote areas of Doda district under Delta Force was flagged in by General Officer Commanding, Delta Force at Dharmund, here today.
During the course of their tour, the girls visited cultural and historical places at Delhi, Agra and Ajmer.
The highlight of the tour was the launch of online web portal at Staff Selection Commission by the students for online registration and recruitment. The students were fortunate to have witnessed the launch of the portal and thereby gained awareness about it.
The students were also educated by Amitabh Bhattacharya, Director SSC about the nuances of preparing for various competitive exams who guided them about requisite study material available for the same.
The girl students also got an opportunity to interact with the people of different States of country which will enhance their awareness about the diversified culture, traditions, economic prosperity and witness glimpses of modern and developing India.
During the flagging in ceremony the General Officer Commanding, Delta Force congratulated the tour members on successful completion of the tour.
The General Officer said the aim of the tour was to provide an opportunity to the students to interact with people outside the State and also give a deep insight of how peace and tranquility in other parts of the country has ushered prosperity and development.
