Army flags off mountaineering expedition

Rajouri, July 14: Eight young girls and 10 boys of the remote area Sagra and Balnoi of Mendhar tehsil were flagged-off on a challenging mountaineering expedition to Mount Stok Kangri (6121 M) in the Ladakh Region of J & K by the Ace of Spades Division at Rajouri, today.
The young mountaineers, at an impressive flagging-off ceremony at Rajouri were presented the Ice-axe with the Indian, Army and Expedition flags, to be placed on the summit by Major General DA Chaturvedi, GOC, Ace of Spades Division.
Commending them for their ‘Jazba’ and ‘Mehnat’, the General exhorted upon the youth to empower themselves to conquer new horizons.
