Army flags off students of Sarhad School Pune

JAMMU, June 10: As part of Operation Sadbhavana, Kargil Sentinels organised flagging off ceremony for 24 children from remote and border areas of Kargil district, presently studying in Sarhad English Medium School, Pune.
These children were returning back to continue their academic session after availing their summer vacations.
A total of 34 children from border areas of Kargil and Ladakh region are presently studying in Sarhad English Medium School, Pune. Under Operation Sadbhavana, Army assists in move of these children from Pune to Kargil and back every year.
A flagging off ceremony was organized for these children at Chhanigund which was attended by Commander, Kargil Sentinels and other civil and military dignitaries.
Commander, Kargil Sentinels interacted with children and parents and motivated children to continue to do well in life and contribute to the development of Kargil in future. Attractive gifts were also presented to the children the occasion.
