Army holds drawing contest

Srinagar, Feb 2: In an effort to encourage students and to instill confidence and goodwill in the hearts of budding future of Kashmir, a drawing competition was conducted at Government Higher Secondary school Ajas in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
A defence spokesman said 30 students participated with great excitement. “The theme of this competition was ‘Nature’ where in the young souls applied their minds and beautifully brought out their thoughts on the drawing sheets. These young children braved the morning chill and participated in the event wholeheartedly,” he said.
The spokesman said Principal Vimal Dhar appreciated and praised the effort to keep students engaged and motivated. “The locals also supported the event. After the competition sweets and candy were also distributed to all students. First five winners were felicitated with awards. The interaction with teachers and students was fruitful and will help in developing confidence in students,” he added.
