JAMMU, Apr 11: In an effort to render necessary healthcare facilities to villagers residing in the border areas of Akhnoor, the Indian Army organised a series of Multi Specialty Medical Camps. People living in the border areas have been facing difficulties in availing medical facilities due to lack of infrastructure and the two day camp organised by Crossed Sword Division of the Indian Army came as relief. This medical camp provided the spot consultation and treatment to the patients visiting the camp.
The event was a joint venture with “Borderless World Foundation” Nashik (Maharashtra) based NGO which provided the team of medical specialists including Gynaecologist, Paedatrition, General Physician, Pharmacist and a drug addiction counsellor for the camp.
The first camp of the series was organised at Panchayat Ghar, Kotmaira in Akhnoor.
