Poonch Link-up Day

POONCH, Nov 9: India Army conducted the inaugural ceremony of the Hockey tournament at Astroturf Hockey Ground, here today.
The inaugural match was played between girl’s teams of Sham IAL Hockey Club and Khelo India Centre which remained a draw as no team was able to net a single goal during the game time.
A total of four teams in the girl’s category and six teams in the boy’s category are participating in the tournament. The ceremony was attended by Narinder Suri, DPO Poonch, Bashir Ahmed, Manager Sports Stadium Poonch, Narjeet Singh, Narinder Singh (Veteran Hockey Players), Matinderpal Singh, Ranveet Singh (Hockey Coaches), civil society members and individuals from nearby villages and Poonch city.
The match was officiated by a technical panel consisting of Rajinder Singh Toofan, Harmik Singh, Sunil Raina and Shokat Ahmed.
The tournament is being technically supervised by Mukesh Kumar Hockey coach and Navjot Singh KI Hockey coach.
