POONCH, June 28: On the occasion of month of Ramzan, a blood donation camp was organized by a Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, based at Basoni, under Romeo Force, at Dharghalun, today.
Large number of Army personnel and Awam participated in the camp. Mumtaz Bhatti, the Chief Medical Officer, Poonch district was the chief guest.
Meanwhile, a jawan from Rashtriya Rifles located at Bhaderwah donated blood (B +ve) for a needy patient Vinod Kumar, 45 years old, resident of village- Dandi, who is a labour and is suffering from Piles. The blood was donated on request of family of ailing patient. One unit of blood was collected from the jawan and transfused to Vinod Kumar at SDH, Dandi, Bhaderwah.
After donating blood, Vinod Kumar and his family thanked the jawan and remarked, “We shall always remain indebted to Army”. The medical staff of hospital also appreciated the quick action taken by the Army in saving the life of the ailing man.
