DODA, Sept 21: 159 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) (Home and Earth) DOGRA, under the civic action programme organised an essay writing competition for the school children at Government Higher Secondary School, Bhella, here today.
The topics of the essay writing competition for class 7th- 9th were ‘ J&K, The Crown of India’ and ‘If I become Prime Minister of India’ while for class 10th-12th, the topics were ‘Empowerment of Women’ and ‘Importance of Voting during Election’.
The students from five schools participated in the competition, two from each school.
The first prize went to Miss Komal Devi and Manjeet Kumar while the runners up for the event were Sushil Kumar and Devender Kumar.
The event was witnessed by students, teachers as well as local populace.
