KALAKOTE, Jan 14: A friendly cricket match to commemorate ‘Army Day’ was organised by Rashtriya Rifles battalion based at Kalakote at the Sports Stadium. The silent Tuesday morning rose in applauded cheering when the civilian XI Kalakote won the toss and decided to bat against the mighty Army XI.
The atmosphere during the match organised under aegis of Reasi based Rashtriya Rifles was electrifying with supporters from both teams cheering with zeal and vigor.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Sarpanch Kalakote said that these events are helpful in enhancing synergy, cementing trust and ensuring a affable relation among local populace and security forces.
