Jammu, Jan 24: Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, based at Jhangar, under Uniform Force organized a Mini Marathon for the Students of schools located at Jhangar and adjacent area of Nowshera Tehsil, today. Six schools participated in the event
120 students including boys and girls gathered for participation in the ‘Mini Marathon’ which included 1.5 Kilometres run for boys and girls between the age of 8 to 14 years and 3 Kilometres run for children between 15 to 17 years of age.
Prizes were distributed to each group followed by refreshments. The teachers, parents of the students and locals witnessed the event.
The successful completion of the event resulted in fostering closer relationship between the locals and the Army.
