KALAKOTE, Aug 29: To spread knowledge and awareness among the people of Kalakote tehsil through street plays, Kalakote Jan Jagran Manch and Rashtriya Rifles unit, Kalakote under Reasi based Rashtriya Rifles organized Public Awareness Programme at Civil Market, Barakh, here.
The theme of the play was “Drug Menace, Adverse Affects of Cheating in Exam and Women Empowerment”.
Play was performed by the members of Kalakote Jan Jagran Manch and they adequately expressed the motto of the play.
Speaking on the occasion, Sudeshwar Singh, Sarpanch Barakh said “it is for the first time that such a noble effort for awareness and removal of social menace has been taken by anyone”. People welcomed the step taken by the Army and Kalakote Jan Jagran Manch and requested the organizers to hold more such plays in the future.
The event among others was attended by Vice Principal Government High School, Barakh and Medical Staff of CHC Barakh.
