SRINAGAR, Mar 22: A ‘Run for Fun’ was organized by Army’s 28 Rashtriya Rifles under aegis of 8 Sector Rashtriya Rifles and Kilo Force at Lolab-Kupwara today. The theme of the Mini Marathon was ‘Aman Ka Jazba’.
In the event around 1200 participants including men, youth and children of various schools and other institutions of Lolab participated. The event was flagged off from Police Station ground, Sogam to Army Goodwill School, Chandigam covering a distance of five kilometres. The Mini Marathon was flagged off by Commander 8 Sector Rashtriya Rifles.
The Mini Marathon received overwhelming and unprecedented response from the locals and large number of locals turned up to witness the historic and colourful event. Commander 8 Sector Rashtriya Rifles complemented all the participants, teachers of various schools and other support staff for organizing such a wonderful event.
