Army organises Volleyball tourney

KUPWARA, Aug 31: Army Camp Panzgam organised an Inter-Village Volleyball tournament which commenced on National Sports Day and the final match of the tournament was played today.
A total of 14 teams participated in the tournament from the Villages Melyal and Kralpura. The young determined boys displayed their skills and left no stone unturned to win every single match.
The tournament final was played between Gulgulosa and Lunahare, wherein Lunahare team emerged winners, while Gulguosa team lifted the trophy of runner up.
Kupwara district was one of the militancy affected districts of Kashmir. The district was struggling in overall development and employment for the youth as they were being dragged into the business of bloodshed and drugs.
Over a period of time, armed forces deployed in this area have worked dedicatedly for the locals to improve their living conditions and provide them skills for employment.
