BANDIPORA, Nov 8: Wular Run 2020′ was organised by Paribal Tekri Rashtriya Rifles Battalion of Watlab Sector, here today.
The event was comprised of two different categories-10 km run for boys and mini run for girls. The event was flagged off by Commander Watlab Sector from Paribal Tekri and culminated at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium, Bandipora.
About 335 youths from 31 villages of Bandipora and Baramulla districts participated in which Bashir Ahmed Ganie of Khaiyar village stood first in boys category while Bisma Noor of Watpora village stood first in girls category.
The participants who achieved 1st, 2nd & 3rd positions in both events were awarded with cash prizes while first 20 participants of both events were given consolation prizes and remaining were awarded with certificates of participation along with medals.
Commander Watlab Sector congratulated all the participants and the spectators for their sportsmanship and natural talent exhibited during the event.
