REASI, Nov 21: A Chess competition was organized today at Dandihala by Indian Army.
The aim of organizing the competition was to bring in communal harmony and to inculcate sportsman spirit amongst the students of Reasi district.
The competition saw whole hearted participation from the school students. A total of 37 students participated in the competition. Attractive prizes were awarded to the students who scored the top three positions.
The event proved to be another step in augmenting the Army’s efforts to promote positive youth development through sports and there-by provide a platform to showcase the hidden talent of local populace, especially the youth.
The competition was witnessed by locals in addition to the Principal of schools and people of Dandihala and nearby villages.
