SRINAGAR, Nov 17: Army today organized “Chinar Mini Marathon” on the banks of Dal Lake here in which more than 4000 persons including men, women and children took part.
The marathon started from Nishat Garden to Nehru Park and from Chashma Shahi to Nehru Park for 7 km and 3 km runs respectively.
The Marathon was flagged off by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Dr Asgar Samoon.
GOC 15 Corps, Lieutenant General Om Prakash complimented the participants, teachers of various schools and other support staff for organizing such wonderful event.
He further stated that the theme of Mini Marathon was the “Aman Ka Jazba” and assured the participants that in future more events of such nature will be organized.
