JAMMU, Dec 1: The final match of the cricket tournament, which was jointly organized by the Army and the Shajroo Cricket Committee was held at Shajroo cricket ground, today.
The fortnight long tournament had commenced on November 17, with the participation of 16 teams in it.
The final match was played between the Shajroo Cricket Club and the Mahore Cricket Club.
The Shajroo Cricket Club won the toss and decided to bat first to put up a fighting total of 122 runs in the allotted 20 overs.
Chasing the set target, Mahore Cricket Club, started off well but lost its way during the middle overs due to some tight bowling and impressive fielding.
Commanding Officer, Rashtriya Rifles Battalion located at Sarh, handed over the trophy to the captain of the winning team.
Both the teams were felicitated during the Prize Distribution Ceremony. Mushim Ahmed, SDPO Mahore was present on the occasion.
