JAMMU, Oct 18: Rashtriya Rifles Battalion based at Kalakote, today organized an Essay and Painting Competition on the themes ‘Developing India’, ‘Prideful India’ and ‘Women Education’.
The competition organized under Uniform Force was aimed at encouraging students to keep them abreast with burning issues of the national level and instill a sense of competitiveness.
The competition started through a qualifying round conducted at various Schools at Kalakote, Sialsui, Mathyanigala, Sarsoti, Songri and Argi. The selected teams gathered at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Kalakote for the final, wherein emphasis was laid on the participation of girl students to imbibe stage confidence.
Government Girls High School, Brehvi stood first in the essay competition followed by Tavleen Sharma and Abida Khanam of GHSS, Kalakote. GHSS Solki stood first in painting competition followed by Palki Sharma and Neetika.
