Army organizes essay, painting, slogan writing competitions

BHADERWAH, Jan 11: In order to commensurate the importance of Army Day and to remember heroes of war, Rashtriya Rifles located at Bhaderwah under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Delta) organised essay, painting and slogan writing competitions at Channi, Dharamkot and Goha respectively.
‘Army Day’ marks a day to salute the valiant soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect our country and people. To mark this grand occasion, Rashtriya Rifles at Bhaderwah had organised several events.
Essay writing competition was organised at Chinta, in which a total of 63 students participated. Abdul Lathif Mir, Postmaster of Chinta presented prizes to the winners and remarked that such initiatives by the Army will go a long way towards spreading the message of bravery of heroes.
A Painting competition was organised at Dharamkot, in which a total of 54 students took part. At the end of the competition, prizes were distributed to the winners.
A Slogan writing competition was organized at Goha, in which 57 students exhibited their talent.   Shafeeq Ahmed, Headmaster of Government High School, Goha presented prizes to the winners.
While speaking, Shafeeq Ahmed remarked that these initiatives by the Army leave everlasting imprint on young minds.
