JAMMU, Aug 25: Rashtriya Rifles at Kalakote under Reasi based Rashtriya Rifles Headquarters, organised a friendly cricket match between Tehsildar XI and Army XI at Sports Stadium, Kalakote.
Army XI won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 81 runs against the Tehsildar XI in stipulated 12 overs.
Tehsildar XI, in reply failed to chase the target in the stipulated overs.
The atmosphere during the match was electrifying with supporters from both teams cheering with zeal and vigour.
The aim of the friendly match was to rejuvenate and break the shackles of stress among the local populace by enjoying the sporting extravaganza.
Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Majid Tantray, Tehsildar, Kalakote said these events are helpful in enhancing synergy, cementing trust and ensuring affable relations between the Awam and the Army.
