POONCH, Aug 22: Army organized an “Inter College Debate Competition” at Government Degree College, Mendhar here today.
The topic for the competition was “Has the Effect of the Powerful Tool of Social Media Contributed towards Develop-ment of the Younger Generation in Today’s Context, or is it Otherwise”.
General Officer Comma-nding, Romeo Force was the chief guest on the occasion.
Ten speakers putforth their view on the subject after due research and deliberation to a patient audience to include SDM, BMO, and BDO of Mendhar, Principal of Government Degree Colleges of Mendhar, Muqaddas, Surankote and Poonch.
Students from Government Degree Colleges of Poonch, Surankote, Mendhar and Muqaddas Degree College, Mendhar participated in the competition. The competition also saw participation from Jamia Masjid Madrassa at Surankote.
Abida Kosar from Government Degree College, Mendhar won the competition while Master Manik Sharma from Government Degree College, Poonch was the runners-up.
The participants were felicitated by the chief guest, who while speaking on the occasion applauded the efforts and talent of the participants.
