Army organizes Inter-School Creative Writing, Declamation competition

JAMMU, May 28: An Inter-School Creative Writing and Declamation competition was organized at Army Goodwill School, Potha by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion of Romeo Force, today.
The competition was organized for two categories, with the students from class 2nd to 6th in Junior Category and the students from 7th to 10th in Senior Category.
The themes for both the categories was “Democracy-The Best Form of Governance” and “Indian Army-The People Friendly Army, National Integration and Women Empowerment”.
60 students from Surankote and surrounding villages participated in the competition, which was witnessed by parents, alumni of the school and teachers from other participating schools.
The winners and the runners-up in each category were given prizes and all participants were given consolation prizes. Speaking on the occasion, Naseeb Khan, Principal Army Goodwill School, Potha said that participating in such competitions helps the students in emerging as confident youngsters capable of voicing their opinion in a public forum.
