RAJOURI, Feb 15: Inter-School Debate Competition was organized by 38 RR Battalion on the topic “Communal Harmony and Indian Army a Perfect Example of Unity in Diversity” to promote interest amongst students in extra-curricular activities.
A total of eight teams, each comprising of three students participated in the event.
The programme was anchored by Ajat Shatru 2IC and presided over by Rajiv Koshak, Commanding Officer. Altaf Javaid, Lecturer Zoology, Shaheen Ara, Sr Lecturer Botany and Ajat Shatru acted as judges. The first position was secured by team of Keralite Public School, Thannamandi by securing 361 points whereas team of Muslim Educational Trust Higher Secondary School, Thannamandi got second position by securing 356 points. Winners and runners-up teams were awarded with mementos and gifts. Consolation prizes were also distributed among the participating teams.
In the presidential address, Mr Koshak congratulated the participating teams and also appreciated the guiding teachers in preparing their team members for participating in the event.
