Army organizes medical-cum-veterinary camp

SAMBA, Aug 22: Army’s Rising Star Brigade organized a medical-cum-veterinary camp for the people dwelling in border areas of Chak Salariyan in the Ramgarh Sector.
This camp was organized on August 19 under Rising Star Corps.
Brigadier Prem Jit Singh, Commander Rising Star Brigade inaugurated the camp and interacted with the village heads of Ramgarh Region. A team of one medical officer and two veterinary doctors from Army and the local heath administration was created to the need of hundreds of locals along with their live stock.
The occasion also provided an opportunity to spread awareness amongst the locals about the importance of ongoing national level flagship campaigns viz Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojna and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.
The Army in close association with the local Post Offices facilitated opening of Sukanya Accounts as part of girl child empowerment. In addition, the local youth were motivated to join the noble profession of Indian Army by providing in depth knowledge of recruitment avenues.
The local Army veterans were made aware of Aadhar Card linked “Jeevan Pramaan Yojna” to ameliorate their need for tendering an annual life certificate.
