Srinagar, May 4: With an aim to enhance personality development, induce healthy competitive spirit and sense of creativity amongst the school going children, army today said it reached out to the students of Army Goodwill School Margund and organised painting competition in Ganderbal district.
A defence spokesman said the painting competition was conducted with the theme of “Swatch Bharat Abhiyan”. “45 children aged below 15 years showcased their creativity during the event. The theme ‘Swatch Bharat Abhiyan’ provided an excellent opportunity for students to apply their imagination and create new pieces of art,” he said,
The spokesman said the outreach will help in establishing faith and trust between people and army and give a ray of hope for a better tomorrow for the people of Kashmir. In an informal interaction, children were also informed about the importance of education in life for the betterment of self, society and the country, he added.
