JAMMU, Aug 3: In order to promote sports in the rural areas of Ramban a volleyball competition was organised by the Army at Banihal.
The competition was to promote sportsmanship spirit, encourage physical fitness and inspire the local youth to showcase their talent in the field of sports. 24 teams from the district are participating in the competition.
Cash prize of Rs 10,000 has been announced for the winner.
The final is scheduled to be held on August 8.
All teams and locals participating in the tournament request the Army to conduct similar events in the future also.
