Army provides furniture to Schools

JAMMU, Jan 16: With an aim to provide impetus to the educational development in the remote border villages of Akhnoor district, Indian Army’s Crossed Swords Division distributed furniture to 11 Government Schools under the Sadbhavana initiative.
The function witnessed distribution of furniture to 11 schools, as also interaction between Senior Army Officers, School Principals and School Staff.
A total of 33 Tables and 66 Chairs were presented to the Headmasters of 11 schools namely Government School Munal Bangla, Danna Amboshani, Barmana, Lala Da Chapara, Seuni, Dori Christian Basti, Dager, Baltod, Talal, Lamhua and Slangher.
While interacting with the School Headmasters and eminent locals, Army assured of its continuous commitment for further improvement of the infrastructure for various schools falling under Akhnoor Tehsil.
Speaking on this occasion, Madan Lal, Principal Government Middle School Majjam expressed his gratitude towards the Indian Army for this gesture to improve the infrastructure of the Schools.
