Army provides sports equipment to Govt school

BHADERWAH, Dec 20: As part of Operation Sadbhavana, Rashtriya Rifles located at Bhadarwah under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Delta) today provided sports equipments to Government High School (GHS), Mathola.
During interaction with the locals and the Headmistress of GHS Mathola, the Commanding Officer of the Battalion, expressed that the school was facing an acute shortage of sports equipment and therefore it was decided to provide sports equipment to school under Operation Sabdhavana.
He said that the project will be of immense help to the school authorities in imparting sports and games training to the students of this remote area. Approximately, 100 students of GHS Mathola and nearby villages will be benefited from this project.
Meanwhile, the Battalion under the aegis of the Counter Insurgency Force (Delta) organised a three weeks Welding Classes under Operation Sadbhavana for youth of Bhadarwah, in order to generate employment opportunities for the local youth.
The classes commenced today at Army Camp Sarna for duration of three weeks. A total of 25 youth will be imparted training on welding techniques by means of practical and theoretical classes.
Second-in-Command of Rashriya Rifles at Bhadarwah inaugurated the ceremony and addressed the youth. He said that such programmes are conducted for providing necessary training to the unemployed youths, so that they can have better employment or start their own work to supports their families.
