Army sets up Computer Museum at AGS Potha

POONCH, Sept 21: The team of ‘Thundering Thirty Nine’ under the able guidance of Commander 6 Sector Rashtriya Rifles has designed a state of art Computer Museum for the Army Goodwill School Potha in Poonch. The Computer Museum has been named as ‘CLICK’ which generates inquisitiveness in young minds to have a look at what is inside.
As per a handout ‘CLICK’ stands for Come Look Into Computer Kingdom. To feast ones eyes, it has computers at display from Celeron to Pentium IV. The processors, input/output devices have been exploded / cut sections made for easy understanding of functioning of various parts of the computer. The evolution of each component of the computer has been very systematically displayed and explained. The Museum also has two activity stations which provide first hand practice to students to assemble a computer processing unit and there after connect various accessories to a computer.
The Museum was inaugurated by Sajjad Ahmed Khan, DC Poonch and was dedicated to AGS, Potha and the ‘AWAM’ by Brigadier N R Indurkar, Commander          6 Sector Rashtriya Rifles on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion Sudarshan Sharma Principal Govt Higher Secondary School, Lassana said, “this Computer Museum, first of its kind not only in this region but also in entire State would be a learning experience for the school children”. Hazi Nasib Khan Principal AGS Potha who was  excited and elated by the Museum exclaimed that he and the school is fortunate to have a state of art Computer Museum. He thanked the Indian Army on behalf of all teachers, students and parents of AGS Potha, specially 6 Sector Rashtriya Rifles for this novel venture.
Sudarshan Sharma Principal Govt Higher Secondary School, Lassana requested Commander 6 Sector Rashtriya Rifles to establish a similar Computer Museum in his school too so as to enable students to get an insight into the evolution of computer over the years, as also what computer is all about.
