KARGIL, Feb 28: To honour the bravery of Sub Harka Bahadur, MC, (5/1 GR), the saviour of Kargil, 16 Maratha LI under the aegis of Kargil Sentinels in collaboration with Social & Educational Welfare Society (S&EWS), Kargil & Nehru Youth Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) organized the 4th Harka Bahadur Memorial Archery Competition, here.
The event was organized at the Army Goodwill School, Harka Bahadur from February 14, 2016.
A total of 15 teams from all areas of Kargil district participated in the Competition. After competing in league matches and semifinals, Green Valley Kirkitchoo and Chanchik Archer, Kargil emerged as the finalists.
After a closely contested final match, Chanchik Archer, Kargil emerged as the winner.               Col Manish Priyadarshan was the chief guest, while Aga Sayyed Abass, Chief Executive Counselor, LAHDC, Kargil was the guest of honour. Both the dignitaries gave away prizes to the winners and runners-up teams.  Haji Akbar of Chanchik Archer, Kargil was declared as the player of the tournament.
