REASI, Nov 6: Arnas team trounced Judda team by 2-1 sets in the final match of the Volleyball, organised under Pandit Prem Nath Dogra Khel Pratiyogita by BJP Sports Cell at High School Gamble Danga Ground, here today.
The tournament was organised under the leadership of convener Sports Cell BJP Jammu & Kashmir, Sunil Sharma and BJP District Reasi Sports Prabhari Sunder Sharma and convener Madan Lal Sharma.
Chairman District Development Council (DDC), Saraf Singh was the chief guest of the tournament, while former MLA Baldev Sharma and District president BJP Reasi Sheel Magotra were the guests of honour and co-convener Sports Cell J&K, Vishal Gupta, Prabhari Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha Prashotam Sharma, executive member Raman Chadda, co-convener District Reasi, Mohinder Kumar Sharma, Subash Chander & Omkar Singh were also present during the event.
The first match was played between Arnas team and Reasi Volleyball teams in which Arnas won the match, whereas 2nd match was played between Team Judda and Team Salal wherein former emerged winner of the match. The final match was played between the winners of first and second match in which Arnas team clinched the trophy.
Sunil Sharma appreciated the players for performing their best in the tournament which is being organised on the occasion of the birthday of Pandit Prem Nath Dogra as Khel Diwas.
About 137 games will be organised till December 25-the Sushasan Diwas which is being organised every year to celebrate the birthday of former Prime Minister of India and Bharat Ratna, Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Meanwhile, Gandoh Police today inaugurated a Volleyball tournament at Helipad Ground Gandoh which was inaugurated by SDPO Gandhoh Shahzada Kabir Mattoo.
Other prominent figures including Tehsildar Gandoh, Irshad Ahmed and Major Siddarth of 4-RR were part of the inaugural ceremony.
The inaugural match was played between Sinoo and Gwari Bhalesa teams.
