JAMMU, Mar 20: Arnia Police organized a Volleyball Tournament at Govt Higher Secondary School, Allah, here.
A total of 8 teams participated in the tournament, which was inaugurated by Sourabh Prashar, SDPO RS Pura.
In the final, Rakh Arnia team defeated Trewa team by (25-23, 22-25, 18-25, 22-25).
RC Kotwal, SSP Hqrs Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, while S Gurpreet Singh, Tehsildar Arnia was the guest of honour.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Sheema Nabi, Ashok Chopra and Deepak Pathania, besides Sarpanches and Panches of the area.
Ankush Kumar and Lokesh Kumar of Rakh Arnia team were adjudged as the best spiker and the best lifter of the tournament respectively.
On the occasion, Bachan Lal (Retd Hony Capt) and former Volleyball player was specially honoured by Mr Kotwal by presenting a shawl and a memento for his valuable contribution to the game.
The tournament was organized under the guidance of Vivek Gupta, SSP Jammu.
