Arshad guides Kashmir Greats to title win

JAMMU, May 29: First class cricketer Arshad Bhatt scored power-packed 84 runs to help Kashmir Greats Cricket Club to a title win in Kashmir Premier League (KPL) Phase-I of T-20 Intra-District Cricket tournament for district Srinagar, here.
The tournament was conducted by the Chinar Corps, under Sadbhavana in conjunction with Ministry of Youth Services and Sports, Jammu and Kashmir Government.
Earlier, batting first, City Hynks scored a formidable total of 169 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, which Kashmir Greats chased easily in 19 overs by sailing on splendid 84 runs by skipper Arshad. For this performance Arshad was adjudged man of the match, while Adil Reshi of City Hynks was declared man of the series.
Major General PD Hallur, GOC 31 Sub Area was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who distributed prizes among the winners and runner-up teams on the occasion. He congratulated all the teams for participating in the event and gave best wishes for KPL phase-II. Kashmir Greats and one more team to be selected later will be representing Srinagar District in KPL phase-II. The event was organised by 7 Rashtriya Rifles (Punjab), under the aegis of HQ 31 Sub Area.
