REASI, Oct 30: Assistant Regional Transport Officer Reasi Rajesh Gupta today organised awareness and sanitization camp for drivers as well as conductors at Katra.
During the camp, Gupta sensitised the drivers about Motor Vehicle Act and urged them to follow all the traffic rules to ensure the safety of one and all.
He emphansized that the traffic violation leads to road accidents and kills hundreds of peoples on daily basis and added that adherence to Laws can avert most of the road accidents besides making commutation hassle free.
Gupta emphasized the drivers and Conductors to follow Motor Vehicles Rules and ensure safety of commuters. He highlighted the pivotal role of civil society in implementing road safety measures. He has stated that such camps will be conducted on regular basis throughout the district to create awareness about road safety.
During the camp, Gupta also distributed masks and hand sanitizers among drivers for their safety amid COVID-19.
On the occasion, the ARTO said that the Motor Vehicle Department Reasi is always committed for safety and welfare of Commuters & transport community of the district especially in COVID-19 crisis.
Meanwhile, the drivers expressed their satisfaction over the gesture of ARTO for conducting such awareness and sensitization camp.
