JAMMU, Apr 21: Former Indian player and presently the member of the Technical Committee of Football Federation of India and son of the soil, Arun Malhotra has been conferred with Pegasus-Shining Star of J&K Football Award.
Other players including Ravi Rana, Ragav Gupta, Dimple Bhagat and Rishi Rajput were also felicitated by Batra Group for their contribution in football.
The award was handed over to Arun by the chief guest Ranjeet Kalra, Member of the J&K Sports Council and Member Governing Council (Sports) SMVDSB and Dronacharya Awardee, Kuldeep Handoo at a glittering football awards evening, organised by the Pegasus Football Club and Sports Academy, an initiative of the Batra Business Group.
Arun was bestowed with the honour for his outstanding contribution to the game of football. It is noteworthy that Arun has the distinction of representing the country on numerous occasions.
Director of the Pegasus Football Academy, Bhisham Batra, Shivam Mahajan from K C Emporia, Vipan Gupta (Former Footballer), Dr Brij Baloria, Mohit Verma, Rajesh Sumberia, Bharat Bhushan, Arun Jasrotia, Sumit Gupta, Aayush Gupta from Duggar Havely were also present on the occasion.
RJ Tanni and Rohit from Radio Mirchi anchored the evening in which football awards in various categories were conferred on teams, players, coaches and managers.
