VIJAYPUR, May 21: Arvind Ghosh Higher Secondary School, Vijaypur, organized its Annual Day cum Prize Distribution function in the School premises with pomp and show, here today.
Former MP, S Tarlok Singh Bajwa was the chief guest, while S Manjit Singh, former Minister, presided over the function.
ID Soni, State Commissioner of J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides was the guest of the honour.
The programme started with the welcome speech by the students followed by SaraswatiVandana.
During the function tiny tots of the school presented colourful cultural items which included Lungi Dance, Gidda, Bhangra, Dogri Dance and Rajasthani Dance.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Bajwa stressed upon providing the moral education to the students.
The meritorious students of the school who got distinctions and positions in Board Exams were awarded with the trophies by the management of the school.
S. Manjit Singh, I D Soni, Bharat Scouts & Guides Commissioner and S Gurdeep Singh, Principal of the Institution also spoke on the occasion.
