KARGIL, Sept 7: Ace boxer of BSF Senior Secondary School, Jammu bagged gold as District clinched 11 medals with 6 gold and 5 silver in Under-17 boys category of the State Level Inter-District Boxing Championship, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Kargil.
The gold medals in Under-17 boys went to Arif Wani of Srinagar, Mumtaz Hussain of Kargil, Aryaveer Singh of Jammu, Sadiq Ali of Kargil, Anil Kumar of Jammu, Padma Lagdam of Leh and Mohd Asif of Doda, while the gold medals in Under-19 boys went to Shujat Hussain of Kargil, Mohd Yaseen of Kargil, Mumtaz Ali of Kargil, Anil Kumar of Kargil, Vinod Bharadwaj of Jammu, Imtiyaz Hussain of Kargil, Mohd Shoaib of Kargil, Skinder Ali of Kargil and Prashant Sharma of Jammu, while the gold medal in Under-14 boys category were claimed by Irfan Ali of Kargil, Vilayat Ali of Kargil, Mansoor Ahmed of Poonch, Rohullah of Kargil, Mohd Imran of of Poonch, Mohd Nawaz of Kargil, Mohd Jawad of Kargil and Zakir Hussain of Jammu.
In Under-17 girls, the gold medals went to Stanzin Angmo of Kargil, Padma Chuskit of Kargil, Tsering Chuskit Kargil, Heena Malik of Doda, Chemat Palmo of Leh, Shayesta Banoo of Doda and Asiya Banoo of Kargil, while the gold medals in Under-19 girls were claimed by Stanzin Yangdol of Kargil, Dechen Dolkar of Kargil, Haseena Banoo of Kargil, Komal Sahota of Leh, Soumya Kousar of Doda and Taniya Tabasum of Doda.
