JAMMU, Oct 16: ASCOMS Jammu and GDC Kathua registered resounding wins over their rivals in the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Football Tournament, here today.
ASCOMS defeated GDC Surankote by four goals to nil (4-0), while GDC Kathua thrashed GDC Rajouri by four goals to nil (4-0).
The matches were officiated by Suresh Gupta, Rahul Sharma, Dheeraj Menia, Rahul Ghai, Ajay Singh and Gagan Kumar.
Prominent among others, the matches were witnessed by Prof Ajay Sharma, Rakesh Puri, Shekhar Raina and Sanjeev Sharma.
Meanwhile, in Inter-Collegiate Volleyball Tournament, GDCs Udhampur, Bhaderwah, Kathua, Khour, Poonch, Banihal and Hiranagar registered wins over their rivals to advance in the Tournament.
The matches were officiated by a technical panel of VFI Qualified Referees including Amit Sharma, Amarjit Singh, Mulkh Raj, Manik Nargotra and Shubham Sharma.
The Inter Collegiate Volleyball (M) Tournament 2019-20 was organized under the supervision of Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu.
