JAMMU, Feb 6: A meeting of ASHA Workers Union of Block Bishnah was held today under the chairmanship of Anita Devi in the complex of Community Health Centre, Bishnah.
Sham Prasad Kesar, senior leader of CITU, was also present in the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, Kesar demanded that ASHA workers be regularized as Health workers, paid Rs 15000 per month and given social security like pension, gratuity and maternity benefits, timely payment of all incentives, provision of two uniforms and ID cards, etc.
The Union decided to hand over a memorandum of demands to JP Nadda, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, through Director concerned on February 16 and participate in the march to Parliament on March 2 to press for their demands.
