Ashok Khajuria lays foundation stone of Indoor Wrestling Hall

JAMMU, Dec 24: Former MLC and senior BJP leader Ashok Khajuria laid foundation stone of new building of International standard Indoor Wrestling Hall at Bajrangi Akhara, Shalamar Road, here today.
Mr Khajuria had earlier donated Rs 20 lakh out of his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for this sports facility.
Wrestling was played on clay ground and after the construction of this Wrestling Hall, the traditional sport will be played on mats at Bajrangi Akhara.
SSP Dushyant Sharma, former International Wrestler and former President Wrestling Federation of India was present on the occasion.
He extended thanks to Mr Khajuria for gracing the occasion and laying the foundation stone at this Wrestling facility which will serve as a game-changer for Wrestling in Jammu and Kashmir.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Pardeep Sharma, President Bajrangi Akhara, Jammu; Dr Ashutosh Sharma, General Secretary J&K Olympic Association; Kuldeep Singh Jmawal, President J&K Olympic Association; Ajay Vaid, Secretary J&K Wrestling Association Raju Sharma, besides wrestlers Dheeraj Sharma and Sarwan Lal.
