The CBI team acting on a complaint, raided the Police Station and caught an Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) red handed.
“He has been taken into custody and the matter is being investigated,” said an official adding that more details are emerging.
Arrested ASI has been identified as Sham Lal. He had sought Rs 50,000 from the complainant for settling case of land encroachment. The deal was settled for Rs 20,000.
