JAMMU, Apr 27: Team of ASN Higher Secondary School Channi Himmat defeated Tiny Tots Higher Secondary School Sainik Colony in a friendly cricket match played at Police Line Colony Ground, Channi HImmat, here today.
The match was inaugurated by Ritesh Kapoor, Director Principal of ASN School and Dr Vikram Handa, Director Principal of Tiny Tots School. The teams were introduced to the guests and then toss was done between the captains of both the School teams. The guests appreciated the gesture the young kids showed in the friendly match and were quite excited to show their performance.
The ASN School team won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 154 runs in just 10 overs on the loss of three wickets only. Akashdeep of ASN scored 106 runs in 40 balls and remained not out, while Tarun scored 14 runs, Ateeb made 6 runs and Raquib contributed 12 runs.
In reply, Tiny Tots School team was able to score just 61 runs on the loss of 9 wickets in 10 overs and couldn’t chase the run rate made by ASN School team. The friendly cricket match closed with distribution of heavy refreshment to all the participants for their active participation.
